Buckley - Victor C. Ecker, 81, a lifelong Buckley resident, died at 3:30 p.m. Sunday (Dec. 7, 1997) at Covenant Medical Center, Urbana.
Funeral services were at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Buckley, the Rev. Gunard Heikkila officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery, rural Buckley, where military rites were accorded by the Buckley American Legion post.
Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Ford-Baier Funeral Home, Buckley, and at the church one hour before the service Thursday.
Mr. Ecker was born Jan. 5, 1916, at Buckley, a son of William and Blandina Hecht Ecker. He married Irene Kesler Oct. 17, 1952, at Buckley. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Delmar Ecker of Buckley and Harold Ecker of Lake Iroquois; four grand-children; two stepsons, Kenneth Wilkening and Robert Wilkening, both of Mesa, Ariz.; one step-daughter, Eunice Wilkening of Apache Junction, Ariz.; two step-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; one brother, Elmer Ecker of Paxton; four sisters, Louise Buchert of Rockford, Luella Knueppel and Leona Ecker, both of Buckley, and Arlene Peterson of Morris.
His parents, four sisters and two brothers preceded him in death.

Glenn Eheart
HIGHLAND, Ark. - Glenn E. Eheart, 67, Highland, Ark., relative of area residents, died at his home on Monday (Nov. 30,
1998).
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at Heath Funeral Home in Hardy, Ark.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Ash Flat Chruch of Christ, where he was a member.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
Memorials may be made to the Micki Eheart Memorial Fund.
Mr. Eheart was a construction contractor. He was a veteran of the Korean War and the Air Force.
Surviving are five sons, Donald Eheart of Onarga, Harry Eheart of Piper City, Warren Eheart of Tuscola, Bryan Eheart of
Chanute, Kansas, and Steve Bailey of Hardy, Ark; daughters, Beckie Mask of Hardy; one brother, Earl Eheart of Piper City;
four sisters, Anna Marie Geisler of Piper City, Dorothy Tholen of Bonfield, Jane Currie of Decatur and Barbara Roberts of
Champaign; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.

Merle Eimen
Merle E. Eimen, 62, Danforth, died at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, 1986, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Bloomington.
He was born March 16, 1923, at Danforth to Alvah G. and Bertha Wabbena Eimen. He married Beverly A. Theesfeld on Oct. 16, 1954, at Danforth, and she survives.
Other survivors include four sons, Kenneth of Garden Grove, Calif., Alan of Frankford, Ind., Randy of Gilman and Eric, at home; four daughters, Mrs. Larry (Gayle) Walsh, Gilman, Mrs. Phil (Janet) Meyer, Elizabeth, Mrs. dennis (Sheila) Dickerson, Cenetralia, Mo., and Carol Eimen, at home; nine grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Donald (Shirley) Miller, Danforth.
Mr. Eimen was emplayed with UARCO at Watseka, retiring after 28 years. He was currently employed at Kuipers Sales at Gilman as a car salesman.
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church at Danforth and the Church Brotherhood, and was a past president of the Church Council.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and was a member and past commander of Danforth American Legion Post 367. He had served as American Red Cross fund chairman for Iroquois County; helped organize the Little League at Danforth; and was a member of the Danforth Park Committee and UARCO Retirees Club.
Mr. Eimen and his wife served as co-presidenets of the Danforth Centennial Committee.
The Rev. Raymond Barclay will officiate at services at 11 a.m. Friday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Danforth. Burial will be in the Danforth Cemetery. The Danforth American Legion Post will conduct gravesisde services.
Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, and for one hour before services Friday at the church.
Memorial may be made in his name to the donor's choice.

Arthur Ennen
LODA - Arthur A. ''Art'' Ennen, 77, of Loda, died Saturday (Sept. 25, 1999) at the Gibson Area Hospital, Gibson City.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at the Ford-Baier Funeral Home, Paxton, and from 10 a.m. Tuesday until the 11 a.m. services at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Loda, where he was a charter member. The Rev. Edgar L. Peters will officiate.
Burial, with military graveside rites by the Loda American Legion Post, will be in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Loda.
Memorials may be made to the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Loda, or to the donor's choice. He served on the Loda Township board as trustee for many years and also served on the Buckley-Loda school board.
Mr. Ennen was involved in the Loda Homecoming, Bicentennial and the Legion chicken barbecues in the 70s.
He was born Sept. 18, 1922, in Buckley, the son of Claude and Anna Garrelts Ennen.
Surviving are his wife, the former Irma Ronna, whom he married Aug. 9, 1947, in Loda; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Linda Niemann of Buckley, Debbie and Don Sans of Paxton, and Pam and Jim Bristle of Buckley; one son, Greg Ennen of Paxton; two sisters, Esther Hartke of Wolcott, Ind., and Wilma Stockton of Hoopeston; 11 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and four step- great-grandchildren.
Deceased are one great-grandson; one sister; and four brothers.
He attended St. John's Lutheran School and Buckley High School.
Mr. Ennen was employed at Chanute Air Force Base, Rantoul, for 32 years before retiring in 1978. He also worked for many years for D.A. Terry Service station, Loda, and Beasley Oil Co. in Paxton, and in security at Market Place Mall, Champaign.
He was a member of the Lutheran Laymans League and served in various church offices throughout the years.
He was a veteran of World War II serving with the 5th Army in Africa and Italy. He was a member of the Loda American Legion Post 503 serving as financial officer several times; a member of the Disabled American Veterans of Champaign County and the National Association of Retired Federal Employees.
In the 1950s, he was the coach of the Loda Women's softball team and coached Little League in Loda. He served as Little League Commissioner at Nelson Field in Paxton for several years.

GEORGE ENLOW
George Enlow, Pittwood Farmer dies; Rites Here
Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at Segur Funeral home for George W. Enlow, 68 , Pittwood Farmer, who died at 5:45 P.M. Monday at St. Mary's hospital in Kankakee, where he had been a patient since August 17. He had been ill about six months.
The Rev. Raymond Baer, pastor of the Pittwood Christain Church, conducted the rites and burial was in the Prairie Dell Cemetery.
    Mr. Enlow was born October 19, 1882 on a farm near Paoli Ind. The son of Henry Willam and Fannie King Enlow. He spent his childhood in the Paoli and French Lick, Ind. Communities and came to Iroquois county in 1907. He had lived in the Pittwood and Watseka vicinities since that time.
    He was married December 12, 1925 at Kankakee , to Rosie Boomgarden , who survives.
    Besides the widow he leaves two children Harold of Pittwood and Mrs. Cora Williams of Woodland; a brother, Thomas , of Mt. Carmel ; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. (Contribited by Lucy)

DWIGHT "DIKE" EDDLEMAN
Gibson City - University of Illinois sports legend, Dwight "Dike" Eddleman, died Wednesday 8-1-2001 at Carle Hospital in Urbana. Eddleman, who spent 18 years working in personnel with Central Soya in Gibson City, died of a heart ailment at 78. He was considered by many the greatest all-around athlete in University of Illinois history. During his sports career Eddleman competed in the Olympics, Final Four and the Rose Bowl in less than two years. During his Illinois career he earned 11 letters. His legacy on campus will last "as long as athletics are played at the University of Illinois," said U of I Athletic Director Ron Gunther in a Chicago Tribune article. "He was a teriffic athlete, but more importantly he was a terrific person." Following his careeer at Central Soya, Eddleman worked as a fund raiser for the University of Illinois Athletic Association. Beginning in 1992 Eddleman served as director emeritus of the Fighting Illini Scholarship Fund. Since 1993 the university's Male and Female Athlete of the Year awards have been named for Eddleman. A native of Centralia, Eddleman led the Centralia Orphans to the 1942 state basketball championship. During his high school career he scored a then state record 2702 career points in basketball and won three state high jump titles. Eddleman was a punter on Illinois' 1946 Rose Bowl champions. He won an NCAA title and won a silver medal in the high jump in the 1948 Olympic Games in London. He was named the Big Ten's Most Valuable player in 1949 after he led the team to the Big Ten basketball crown and the final four. Eddleman was a member of the "Whiz Kids" teams under basketball coach Harry Combs. After graduating from the University of Illinois he played in the National Basketball League which would later become the NBA. He played for three different teams in four years before retiring in 1953. Eddleman is survived by his wife, Teddy; a son, Thomas Dwight Eddleman, Jr., three daughters, Dianna Eddleman Lenzi, Nancy Dru Hambright and Kristsy Ann Stevenson; and seven grandchildren.

Don Ehlenfeld, 65, of Gibson City died at 8:40 a.m. Tuesday, 7-15-1997 at his home. Mr. Ehlenfeld served as Gibson City's mayor, having been elected in the April 1 election.

HOWARD J. EHRESMAN
Howard J. Ehresman, 89, of Gibson City, died at 3:05 a.m. Wednesday 1-5-2000 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Gibson City. His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Gibson City. The Rev. William Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Drummer Twp Cemetery, Gibson City, with military rites by the Lee Lowery American Legion Post 568. He was born 8-29-1910, in McLean County, a son of Charles and Anna Johnson Ehresman. He married Maria Genshemier on 1-12-1946, in Gibson City. She died 12-19-1989. Roena Lynn Enghausen, 50, of 204 W. Washington St., Champaign, formerly of Gibson City, died Tuesday evening 5-29-1990 at Covenant Medical Center, Urbana. Visitation will be from noon - 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Enghausen was born 8-28-1939, at Russell Springs, KY., a daughter of Kermit and Martha Christman Gosser. She attended Gibson City schools. The funeral of William Otha Eads, 82, a resident of the Gibson City area most of his life and a former farmer, construction and cemetery employee, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Lamb Funeral Home, Gibson City. The Rev. Mike Curtiss will officiate. Burial will be in Drummer Twp Cemetery, Gibson City. Visitation will be from 4 - 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Mr. Eads died at 8:35 a.m. Thursday 12-13-1990 at the Ford County Nursing Home, Paxton. He was born 1-1-1908, at Jamestown, KY., a son of John and Molly Stephens Eads. He married Zelpha Meece in June 1934 at Russell Springs, Ky. She survives. Other survivors include one daughter, Barbara Painter, San Diego; four sisters, Pearl Smith, Cincinnati; Modeen Mann, Rantoul; Oleen Miller, Parker, Colo.; and Pauline Heins, Macomb; five grandchldren; and two great-grandchildren. One son, two brothers, and two sisters preceded him in death. Mr. Eads farmed and later was a construction worker. He also was employed at Drummer Twp Cemetery. She married William Otha Eads 6-26-1935 at Russell Springs, KY. He died 12-13-1990. Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Painter, San Diego, Calif.; three sisters, Thelma Goodwin, Rantoul; Nora Cooper, Philo; and Elva Wilson, Ohio; a brother, Ethridge Meece, Russell Springs, Ky.; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Donald L. Eads, 51, of Gibson City, a hospital employee, died at 6:40 a.m. yesterday 6-1-1988 at his home. His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church of Gibson City, the Rev. Mr. Eads was born 9-1-1936 in Champaign, a son of Otha and Zelphia Meece Eads. He married Vonda Adams on 6-7-1964 in Gibson City. She survives. BEULAH C. (ROSS) ECK
Beulah C. Eck, 67, of Gibson City died at 5:50 a.m. Monday 8-14-1989 at Gibson Community Hospital, Gibson City. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Lamb Funeral Home, Gibson City, the Rev. Thomas Condron officiating. Burial will be in Drummer Twp Cemetery, Gibson City. Visitation will be from 2 - 4 p.m. and 6 - 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and chapel services by the Gibson City Women of the Moose will be at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Eck was born 2-6-1922 at Metcalf, a daughter of Grover and Ila Mae Bennett Ross. She married Kenneth E. Eck on 1-6-1947 at Metcalf. He died 9-23-1984. She is survived by a son, Frank Cox of Indianapolis; two daughters, Kathy Thompson of Gibson City and Millie Sowers of Jamestown, Ind.; a brother, Bud Ross of Clinton, Ind.; and four sisters, Myrtle Lu Allen of Toledo, Ohio, Mardell Smith of Clinton, Indiana, and Mildred Derby and Eva Cary, both of Wilcox, Ariz. She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister. Mrs. Eck was a resident of Gibson City since 1950 and retired from General Electric, Bloomington in January 1978. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion auxiliaries of Gibson City, the Women of the Moose of Gibson City; and the Church of the Nazarene. Funeral services for Merle Edenburn, 69, of Gibson City were at 10 a.m. Thursday at Lamb Funeral Home, Gibson City, with the Rev. Patrick Cox officiating. Burial was in Drummer Twp Cemetery, Gibson City. Mrs. Edenburn died at 12:45 p.m. Monday 12-30-1991 at her home in Gibson City. She was born 9-6-1922 in Preston, Miss., a daughter of Rueben and Mattie Alexander Baker. She married James Edenburn on 1-20-1945 at Brandon, Miss. He survives. Also surviving are one son, Randy Edenburn of Roberts; one daughter, Sandy O'Neal of Wichita, Kan.; four grandchildren; one brother, Dolphe Baker of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and five sisters, Mavis Pittman and Ina Carmichael, both of Meridian, Miss., Vonnie Teer and Stuart Fulton, both of Preston, Miss., and Jewel Myers of Brandon, Miss. She was preceded in death by one son, one brother and one sister. Mrs. Edenburn worked at Rose's Dress Shop in Gibson City. MARIA G. (GENSHEMIER) EHRESMAN
The funeral of Maria G. Ehresman, age 86 of Gibson City, was conducted Friday at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Gibson City. The Reverend William Smith officiated with burial in Drummer Twp Cemetery, GibsonCity. Visitation was held from 6 - 8 p.m. Thursday at Lamb Funeral Home where the wake service was held at 6 p.m. Pallbearers were Eugene Johnson, Gene Gardner, Paul Obert, Arthur Fisher, Douglas Knapp and Glenn Davis. Mrs. Ehresman died at 4:46 p.m. Tuesday, 12-19-1989 at Gibson Community Hospital, Gibson City. She was born 3-18-1903 near Gibson City, a daughter of Jacob and Rosie Shive Genshemier. She married Howard Ehresman on 1-12-1946 at Gibson City and he survives. Also surviving is one sister, Leona Quinn of Bloomington. Mrs. Ehresman was preceded in death by one brother. She lived in Gibson City all of her life, working for 36 years as a schoolteacher. She was president for two years for the VFW Auxiliary 6289 in Gibson City and president for two years of the Senior Women's Club. Mrs. Ehresman was also a member of the Sweet Adelines of Champaign and Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, to which memorials may be made.

JOSEPH EHRESMAN
Joseph Ehresman, 91, died at 5:30 a.m. Monday, 2-18-1943 at Mrs. Belle Williams' nursing home in Gibson City where he had been ill for several months. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Lamb Funeral Home in Gibson City with the Rev. A.H. Flagge officiating. Burial will be in the Gibson City Cemetery. He was born 4-9-1851 near Goodfield, Il., and he married Miss Anna Saltzman in 1876, who preceded him in death in 1938. He had lived around Gibson City for the last 35 years. He was a retired farmer. He sold his home 10 years ago and made his home with his sons in Gibson City. Surviving are two sons; Walter and Charles of Gibson City; two brothers, Jacob of Piper City and Sam of Washington; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

SENA N. (GREGERSON) EKBOM
Mrs. Sena N. Ekbom, 93, Paxton, died at 3:15 p.m. Monday (9-19-1977) at her home. She had been in failing health for a year. Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Ford-Baier Funeral Home, Paxton, the Rev. Wayne Steel officiating. Burial will be in Drummer Twp Cemetery, Gibson City. Visitation will be from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. She was born 9-8-1884 at Gibson City, a daughter of Chris and Karen Sorenson Gregerson. She married Edward J. Ekbom, 2-4-1903 at Gibson City. He died in July 1948. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Lucille Mildner, Chicago; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, a sister and three brothers. She lived in the Gibson City and Paxton area where she and her husband had farmed. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church, Paxton, and the FLCW, the Moffett Club and the Homemakers Social Club.

NANCY (CANNOY) KELLER ELDER
Mrs. Nancy Keller Elder, 75, a life-time resident of Gibson City died at 9:17 p.m. Monday at the Gibson Community Hospital. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Lamb Funeral Home, Gibson City, the Rev. David Eadie will officiate. Burial will be in Drummer Twp Cemetery, Gibson City. Visitation is 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Born 6-17-1896 at Wytheville, Va., a daughter of James and Lucy Callahan Cannoy, she married to Henry Keller, 2-21-1918 at Arrowsmith. He died 3-25-1958. Her marriage to George Elder was in April 1961 at Santa Ana, Ca. He died in June 1962. Mrs. Elder spent most of her life in the Gibson City area with the exception of the 10 years she lived in California. She was a member of the Church of Christ, Garden Grove, Ca., and the Gold Star Mothers of WWII. Surviving are three daughters, Kathryn Schroeder, Garden Grove, Ca.; Lucy Cunningham, Champaign; Ann Enghausen, Pontiac; one son, Lester Keller, Verona; one sister, Maudie Bridgwater, Gibson City; one brother, James Cannoy, Dunedin, Fl., nine grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren . A son, killed in action in the Phillipine Islands during WWII, four brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.

GRACE J. (SAWYER) JORDAN ELKIN
Grace J. Elkin, 94, of Gibson City, a lifelong resident of the Gibson City area, died at 7:35 a.m. yesterday at the Gibson Community Hospital. Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Lamb Funeral Home, Gibson City, the Rev. Carl Johnston officiating. Burial will be in Drummer Twp. Cemetery, Gibson City. Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Mrs. Elkin was born 9-10-1892 in Champaign County, a daughter of John and Katherine Knerr Sawyer. She married Ralph Jordan on 2-17-1912 in Ford Co. He died 6-1-1948. She married Paul S. Elkin on 2-14-1952 at Gibson City. He died 9-12-1983. Survivors include two sons, Virgil Jordan, Astaula, Fl.; and Donald Jordan, Paxton; two daughters, Betty Leffler and Jenedia Jensen, both of Gibson City; one stepson, Richard Elkin, Champaign; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren. One brother and four sisters preceded her in death. Mrs. Elkin was a member of the Gibson City Woman's Club, Gibson City Recreation Club, the Blackford Community Club and the Gibson City United Methodist Church.

J.D. ELLIS
J.D. Ellis, age 76 of Gibson City died at 5:30 p.m. Friday, 1-26-1996 at Gibson Community Hospital in Gibson City. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday January 31 beginning at 10:30 a.m. at Lamb Funeral Home in Gibson City with the Reverend William Smith officiating. FRANK R. EMINGER
Frank Eminger committed suicide Sunday morning, 8-13-1899. He had not been well for several days. On Saturday evening he came in from the farm with his brother, John. During the night he became restless and went out of the house - his brother became uneasy and went out to search for him and found his body hanging from the rafters in the hay loft. He had taught school and farmed. He is survived by a brother, A.H. Eminger; sisters, Mrs. J.B. Snider and Mrs. Jesse Fry.

WILLIAM F. ENGHAUSEN
William F. Enghausen, 65, died at 12:15 a.m. Friday at Gibson Community Hospital. He had been admitted only a few hours earlier after suffering an apparent heart attack. His funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the American Lutheran Church, with the Rev. O.H. Kreiter officiating. Burial will be in Gibson City cemetery. Visitation will be at Lamb Funeral Home from 7 - 9 tonight. He was born 12-13-1906 in Sibley, a son of Ben and Christina Schumacher Enghausen. He married Hazel Schroeder 10-16-1930 in Anchor. Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Sylvia Ahrens, Gibson City; three sons, Thomas and Lyle, both of Gibson City and Gerald, of Fisher; eight grandchildren; a sister, Emma Neubauer, Sibley; three brothers, Chris and Ben, both of Sibley and John, Minneapolis, Minn. A sister and two brothers preceded him in death. He had been a farmer and was a lifelong resident of the Sibley - Gibson City areas. He was a member of the American Lutheran Church.

HAZEL L. (SCHROEDER) ENGHAUSEN
Hazel L. Enghausen, age 82 of Gibson City died at 9 a.m. Wednesday 2-10-1993 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana. Her funeral was at 10 a.m. Saturday at the American Lutheran Church, Gibson City, the Reverend Dane Meuschke officiating. Burial was in Drummer Twp Cemetery, Gibson City. Visitation was from 6 - 8 p.m. Friday at Lamb Funeral Home and from 9 - 10 a.m. Saturday at the church. Pallbearers were David Enghausen, Rodney Enghausen, Kevin Enghausen, Brian Enghausen, Brett Enghausen, and Keith Ahrens. Mrs. Enghausen was born 7-21-1910 in Anchor Twp McLean County, a daughter of Pete and Emma Brading Schroeder. She married William Enghausen on 10-16-1930 in Anchor. He died 8-25-1972. Survivors include three sons, Thomas of Gibson City; Lyle of Foosland; and Gerald of Fisher; one daughter, Sylvia Ahrens of Kankakee; nine grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ernie Schroeder of Gibson City and Franklin Schroeder of Garden Grove, California and one sister, Helen Cramer of Gibson City. Mrs. Enghausen was a member of the American Lutheran Church and the Guthrie Community Club. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

MARJORIE D. (WALKER) ENGLE
Marjorie D. Engle, age 78 of Columbus, Ohio, formerly of Gibson City, died at 12:20 p.m. Saturday, 9-2-1989 at Riverside Hospital, Columbus, Ohio. Her funeral will be held Thursday at Lamb Funeral Home, Gibson City with the Reverend Laurence Sunkel officiating. Burial will be in Drummer Twp Cemetery, Gibson City. Visitation will be held from 10 - 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Pallbearers included Tony Gandy, Eldon Kline, Roscoe Decker, Patrick Walker, Gene Lenzi, and Jessie Gonnam. Mrs. Engle was born 1-1-1911 in Mazon, a daughter of Floyde E. and Myrtle Symons Walker. She married S. Gerald Engle 4-16-1942 in Gibson City and he survives. Also surviving are one son, Steven G. of Golden, Colorado; one daughter, Carol Jurgensen, Puyallup, Washington; one brother, Floyde S. Walker of Gibson City; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother. Mrs. Engle had been a resident of Columbus, Ohio for 41 years. She attended Illinois State University and taught school for several years. She later worked as a secretary and office manager in Columbus, Ohio. She was a member of Overbrook Presbyterian Church in Columbus. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice./P>

The funeral of Harold H. Erdman, 78, RR 1 Dewey, who died Thursday 5-22-1986 was conducted Sunday at the American Lutheran Church, Rantoul, the Rev. Marvin Remmers officiating. Burial was in Drummer Twp Cemetery, Gibson City. Mr. Erdman was a former truck driver for a Paxton business. Visitation will be from 5 - 8:30 p.m. today at Lamb Funeral Home, Gibson City. He was born 4-8-1908 in McLean County, a son of August and Alice Pils Erdman. He married Mona Hamm on 5-11-1935 at Elgin. She survives. Other survivors include three sons, Les and Fred, both of Tucson, Ariz.; and Gerald, Gibson City; two daughters, Juanita Bradley, Urbana and Twyla Berkler, Lockport; a brother, Wayne, St. Joseph; two sisters, Elva Koerner, Chatsworth, and Violet Florence, Lacey, Wash.; 18 grandchildren; two step-grand- children; 15 great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, the former Dorothy Tanner; a daughter, and a sister. He was a retired farmer and truck driver, having been employed by Howard Thomas Gravel Co. of Paxton and W.V. Williams Contractors of Gibson City.

Idabelle Erp, age 100 of Gibson City died at 12:10 p.m. Wednesday, 3-3-1999 at Gibson Area Hospital in Gibosn City. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Friday, March 5 at Lamb Funeral Home in Gibson City with the Reverend Kathleen Reichmann officiating. Burial was in Drummer Twp Cemetery, Gibson City. Visitation was from 1 - 2 p.m. Friday before the services at the funeral home. Pallbearers were Perry Chizek, Robert Chizek, Keith Chizek, Vernon Roesch, William Hunter and David Stolz. Miss Erp was born 2-4-1899 at Gibson City a daughter of Clause J. and Augusta P. Koenig Erp. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by five brothers and four sisters. A resident of Gibson City for all of her life, Miss Erp was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Gibson City. Jeanne P. Etherton, 52, was dead on arrival at 1:30 a.m. Friday 8-22-1980 at Gibson Community Hospital. Her funeral was at 2 p.m. Sunday at Lamb Funeral Home with Dr. Hugh Reynolds officiating. Burial was in Drummer Twp Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Dick Walter, Dike Eddleman, Harold Cochran, Floyde Walker, Dr. Robert Rankin and John E. Anderson. Mrs. Etherton was born 11-28-1927 in Chicago, a daughter of George and Catherine Wernz Plumbe. She married Dr. Edson L. Etherton 10-19-1953 in Chicago. He survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Denise Carlson, Lindenhurst; and Susan Dunnan, Warrensburg; three sons, William J., Chicago; Robert T., Lincoln; and Edward F., Marion; her mother, Aurora; a sister, Shirley Boland, Lombard; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father and a brother. Mrs. Etherton lived in Gibson City since 1953, and was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Gibson Community Hospital Auxiliary, Champaign Country Club, Indian Springs Country Club, the Hospital Marathon Bridge Club and Elliott AmVets Auxiliary. LYNNE (HARPER) ETHERTON
Lynne Harper Etherton, age 47 of Normal, formerly of Gibson City, died at her home at 1:08 a.m. Thursday, 2-29-1996. Memorial services were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 2 at the First Presbyterian Church in Gibson City with the Reverend Kathleen Edmisson and Dr. T. Ewen Holmes officiating. Private burial services were at the Drummer Twp Cemetery, Gibson City. Visitation was from noon - 2 p.m. Saturday at the church. Mrs. Etherton was born 5-23-1948 at Urbana, a daughter of Virgil and Verona Anderson Harper. She married Tom Etherton on 8-31-1968 at Gibson City. Survivors include her husband, Tom Etherton of Normal; one son, Eric Etherton and one daughter, Elizabeth Etherton, both of Normal; her parents, Verona and Harold Thomas of Gibson City; one brother, Steve Harper of Gibson City; two sisters, Pam Bell of Bradley and Kathy Thomas of Champaign. She was preceded in death by her father. Mrs. Etherton was a graduate of Illinois State University. She taught in the school systems in the surrounding area. She was an account manager at Lincoln office in Bloomington. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Normal. She and her husband started the Gibson City Swim Team in 1968. LLOYD EVELAND
Piper City - Lloyd "Bing" Eveland, 101, of Piper City died at Iroquois Resident Home at 4:55 a.m. Thursday 1-30-2003 after a stroke on Monday evening. His funeral was at 11 a.m. Monday at United Methodist Church, Piper City. The Rev. Jan Miller officiated. Burial was in Brenton Cemetery, Piper City. Visitation was from 9 - 11 a.m. Monday at the Church. Segur-Knapp Funeral Home, Watseka, was in charge of arrangements. He was born 4-28-1901, in Bath, a son of John Guthrie and Ellen Maude Lockwood Eveland. He married Barbara Ann Marksteiner of Bloomington on 12-6-1924 in Chicago. She died 8-1-1992, in Bloomington. He later married F. Nadine Brooks Lawrence in Bloomington 12-17-1994; she survives. Mr. Eveland was the first student to graduate from Bath High School in 1922. He attended Illinois State Normal University to participate in the marching band. He played big band music and jazz in and around the Bloomington area in the 1930's. He loved playing his clarinet and saxophone. He was a life member of the Masonic Lodge. He had lived in Chicago, Bloomington, Piper City and Mountain Home, Ark. He loved fishing and enjoyed working the crossword puzzle in the daily newspaper. He also read two books a week. He enjoyed being with people and was known as a great storyteller with many stories to tell. He was a fan of stand-up comics of the past and could remember many of their jokes. He was a lifelong Cubs fan and followed all of the athletes as they moved from club to club. Memorials may be made to Piper City Public Library and the Piper City United Methodist Church.
