This photo of the old Loda High School appears in the August 7, 1996 Back to School supplement of The (Paxton) Record. The caption reads, "Tha Loda High School stood at a site that today holds a trailer court. A town of about 400 today, Loda had a population of about 800 when the school, built in 1895, was still standing. The building was torn down in 1961, about 10 years after it was vacated when Loda voted to consolidate its school district with Buckley."
